Winter is turning into spring in a month or so, at this moment it still is snowing... I am not much of a winter-person, but I survive.
Since my last post a lot has happened. Looking back the photos from last season makes me anxious to fast forward to summer. Altogether, this winter has been busy since...
I started a school. I am supposed to be there for 3 years, and when I graduate, I'll be an aircraft mechanic. Will also take Part-tests, so after few more years of work experience, I'll get my licence for that too. EASA-stuff, very controlled etc...
Anyway, I love the school and even I am not very technical person and for example physics and electricity gives me hard times, I keep up the motivation to study and eventually I'll get those things too. There is just no other option for me.
Along the shcool I have been honoured to learn by doing, and hopefully help a bit too, at a local musem aeroclub, which owns one of the other still flying Fouga Magisters in Finland. Tomorrow I am going to spend another day with "our youngsters", those old and wise mechanics, watch and learn, do something myself (under supervision of course). What could be better way to really learn and understand how things work. And get familiar with parts, phrases, tools and stuff. Must say, it also keeps the balance, since at school my classmates are 16-20 years old and here I get to work with people about 70 years old... :)
Also the next summer has been keeping me busy. The upcoming World Glider Aerobatic Championships gives us a lot of things to do and work out. There is a lot of things to do, and we're trying to do the best we can to make the event as enjoyable as possible to all.
And now I am off, to do some school work. Maybe the paper about the fabric coverings... or should I do the basic electricity stuff... oh, the choises I have :)
