I haven't written in a while anything, but that doesn't mean nothing has happened. On the contrary, a lot has happened.
After the last post, we have started to plan our World championships, as well as the Nordic Aerobatic championships for next summer. It is our turn this year to organize the Nordics, and again Oripää was eager to take the responsibility. With the same organisation we will organize the Nordics next summer and the World Championships in 2013. Quite handy I must say.
Now, when it is 6 months to the Nordics, we have almost finished the first bulletin, which will be published tomorrow. This way we can also do the same scheduling as there will be in 2013. Good practice I must say.
We have a strong organization already, almost all jobs are already filled, which only tells me that the Turku Flying Club (sorry, link is only in Finnish) is very determined to organize a good contest next summer -- and the following summer as well.
Our Contest Director has been very active and I will be the assistant CD. We have a good startline director, PR people already, people to take care of the restaurant and of course Contest office, where we will get both experience and local expertise. I have to say, we have good possibilities to run the contest as smoothly as possible.
We also opened a group in social media, Nordic Aerobatic Championships which will be only one of the ways to distribute information about the contest. There will be an official website for the contest of course, and as soon as we'll get it ready, will spread the link!
